McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations earned national recognition at the 2015 SABRE Awards for its Red White and Food campaign on behalf of the Tennessee Grocers & Convenience Store Association, which encouraged Tennesseans to vote in local referendums to allow wine sales in Tennessee retail food stores.
MP&F was the only Tennessee firm to receive a Gold SABRE Award, honoring public relations campaigns that demonstrate superior achievements in branding, engagement and reputation. The Gold SABRE Award was presented to MP&F for “Public Affairs Campaign of the Year.” MP&F also received a SABRE Award in 2011 for its grassroots work on the Friends of Gaile Owens campaign.
Around 300 campaign finalists were announced from more than 2,000 entries this year. Fewer than 100 winners were selected from the finalists. The ceremony, hosted by The Holmes Report in New York City, was attended by 850 industry leaders. Senior Partner Mark McNeely attended the awards ceremony to accept the award on behalf of MP&F.
“This award recognizes the exceptional work and dedication of the MP&F team,” McNeely said. “I feel privileged to be part of a group of professionals who continue to leave a lasting impact on Tennessee.”
In addition to the SABRE Award, the Red White and Food campaign won 14 awards, including Best of Show, at the recent Nashville Public Relations Society of America competition. Key to the campaigns’s success were Tennessee Public Relations Alliance partners Moxley Carmichael, Q Strategies, The Carter Malone Group and Hispanic Marketing Group.
