The Carter Malone Group History

CM-Resized-Staff-Photo1Deidre Malone, President and CEO, founded The Carter Malone Group, LLC (CMG) in May 2003. She left a successful career as a marketing executive of a highly respected international organization, ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, to launch CMG. She wanted an opportunity to use more of the knowledge and talents she had gained during her 20 years in public relations and marketing. She had two primary goals in mind quality work product and superior client service. The firm’s name consists of Malone’s maiden name “Carter” and is a family-owned business, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.

CMG opened its doors with one client, the National Baptist Congress. Today, 11 years later, we have grown into one of the largest, most respected, award-winning public relations firms in the Mid-South servicing more than 20 clients across the United States.

CMG creates communications programs that are designed to set your business apart, build your brand, garner significant media coverage and drive consumers to action. Our team of professionals have the experience and skills to meet the specific public relations, marketing, advertising, social media, community engagement and event planning a business requires. Each team member is committed to the CMG vision of providing clients with a positive and unforgettable customer-client experience.

In October 2011, CMG became a founding member of the Tennessee Public Relations Alliance with McNeely Pigott and Fox in Nashville, Moxley Carmichael Public Relations in Knoxville and the Hispanic Marketing Group in Nashville.
