VTM, a Nashville-based company, hired Hispanic Marketing Group to help it develop and take to market a videoconference solution for the health care industry. The medical community faces the challenge of presenting medical informed consent, the rights and responsibilities of a patient, instructions to caregivers, and much more to a growing Latino community whose first language is Spanish and who depend on their children as interpreters when a professional interpreter is not available. Now, practitioners and patients have access to medical counseling and education that is presented by a Spanish-speaking nurse from a video call center. The session includes a detailed presentation of the doctor’s recommended procedure and pre-surgery and post-surgery instructions, offering the patient an opportunity to ask questions and review the entire session later with a link to the online version. Hispanic Marketing Group has helped VTM develop the process of taking the service from a trial basis to client presentations.
